Wavinya Ndeti Speaks Following Her UK Money Rumour

Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti has emerged in public hours after news of her being stranded abroad emerged.

Earlier on Sunday September 8, news about Ndeti getting stranded abroad following a banking dispute over Kenyan funds spread on X platform like bush fire.

According to online reports and sources, authorities in the United Kingdom U.K declined a multimillion cash transaction by the politician, citing concerns about the legitimacy of the funds in her possession.

The situation would, reportedly, escalate when Governor Wavinya’s son, Charlie Oduwale, was arrested in possession of sh. 679 million.

The source reported that he was detained after failing to provide a satisfactory explanation for how he acquired such a substantial amount of money.

In a bid to resolve the matter, Governor Wavinya informed the U.K authorities that the funds were meant for the Machakos County Government. She claimed that the money was earmarked for the construction of a Level 5 hospital for Machakos residents living abroad.

However, the U.K authorities, according to the source, remained unconvinced, leading to further complications in her efforts to carry on with the banking plans.

Later in the evening, Ndeti would emerge with a completely different story on her new competency award while, at the same time, steering clear of any social media stories about her frustrations in the U.K.

She focused her statement on expressing her utmost gratitude to everyone who played part in her recognition as the Best Governor in the Eastern Region during the ETA Awards held last night at the Semara Hotel in Machakos County.

“This honour is not just a reflection of my efforts but a celebration of the collective hard work and dedication of my incredible team and the resilient people of Machakos County. Thank you to the organizers of the ETA Awards for this esteemed recognition.

“It reinforces the commitment I have to serve our community with integrity and passion. To my fellow leaders, your support and collaboration inspire me every day. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of our constituents,” Governor Ndeti remarked.

Ms Wavinya Ndeti succeeded Dr. Alfred Mutua who has since moved to the new William Ruto’s Cabinet in the capacity of Tourism CS.
